Almansor Community Integration and Training Program (ACIT)
Provides instruction both on site and in the community in the areas of independent living skills, work readiness, vocational education and assessment, functional academics, community access and integration, in addition to personal and social development and conflict resolution.
Adult Transition Program (ATP)
Consists of small group training (1 to 3 ratio) in accessing the community in which the participants live. Training includes the use of public transportation, personal care and safety, volunteer work, money management, home maintenance and domestic skills.
Independent Living Skills (ILS)
Prepares participants to transition into living on their own by providing individual instruction in the home and community in which they will be living. Instruction includes personal and community safety, domestic skills and home maintenance, budgeting and paying bills, self-advocacy, and self-care.
Mobility Training
Provides individual training to participants that enables them to access the community using public transportation in a safe and appropriate manner, including MTA buses, city buses, taxis and Access Services.
Adaptive Skills Training (AST)
Assists participants in developing the daily living skills needed to function independently in the community. These skills include home and community instruction in self-care, living and social skills, and functional academics.
